Let's wrap up 2025 Make Ways Style...

2025 - You were big & beautiful! 🤩
A year we grew more than we could have imagined.

The year that included:

🏃🏽‍♀️ Sponsoring 35 athletes in the Sierra Leone Marathon

♻️ Collecting 7134 container for recycling across Australia (We’re now recycling QLD, VIC & NSW)

🚢 Sending another 40ft shipping container full of recycled Sports gear & equipment to our store in Sierra Leone

🧑🏽‍🎓 Our young employees attending university in Sierra Leone using the wages they earn at our Sports Store

🎥 Showing our 2nd annual @runnationfilmfestival in Cairns

📖 Participating in the Adapt for Impact & Social Impact Hub programs

👟 Development of the Make Ways Foundation Academy. A running program for the next generation in Sierra Leone

🧵 Development of a pad sewing project for our Women & Girls group

🎙️ Invited to speak at 5 events including conferences, schools and a podcast

💦 Hosting 4 aid stations across 2 separate events on the Gold Coast

🌍 Running our tour in Sierra Leone for a group of people to see our program, experience life in Sierra Leone and run the marathon

Our run squad is still training🏃🏽

Thanks to Foday our run coach leader, we have a group of up and coming, next generation runners 🏃🏽

Coach Foday continues to inspire the next generation with his positive energy 💪🏽

Foday organises regular coaching sessions for the young people and is always looking for new ways to keep them motivated! 🤩

Container number 3 out to sea!

Due to dock in Sierra Leone in 2 weeks!

Committee member Sam, and a trusty crew of West Africans moved more than 440 boxes onto the container in Sydney 😯

Oh and did we mention the lift was broken? 🥵

What a huge effort 💪🏽

The crew enabled our sporting donations to set sail to Sierra Leone 🚢

It’s a huge effort…Collecting, sorting, packing, moving and shipping takes multiple teams over a period of months. That is why we celebrate each shipment 🤩
